A storm was rolling in and we just finished marking the spot for the greenhouse at the ISD.

I have been a teacher for the Copper Country Intermediate School District since 1999. All but one of those years have been in a community based program - the Community Transition Program. My adults students with Cognitive Impairments range in age from 18 - 26 years old. The students learn adult living skills and work skills in the classroom setting and in the Copper Country community area through Work Based Learning experiences. I volunteer in the winter for the Superior Alliance for Independent Living (S.A.I.L.) recreational program by organizing adaptive cross country skiing and snowshoeing at the Michigan Tech Ski Trails.
